Every senior retiree needs insurance to protect them from the high costs of nursing homes and long term care health care costs. As of today it does not look like the federal government will be passing any sweeping health care reform. The private option is the only current option. Insurance Insurance Commissioner
ATLANTA – (BestWire) Georgia voters will elect a new insurance commissioner in November — maybe for the last time. Gov. Sonny Perdue proposed a constitutional amendment to make the state’s four elected constitutional offices, including that of insurance and safety fire commissioner, into appointed positions. Insurance Joseph G Murphy Commissioner
BOSTON –Governor Deval Patrick yesterday appointed Joseph G. Murphy Commissioner of the Division of Insurance. Murphy has served as First Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Insurance since 2006, playing active roles in the implementation of the Patrick-Murray Administration’s successful auto insurance reform and the day-to-day operations of the Division, its 130 employees and $12 million budget.
